Professional and Reliable Veterinarians in West Palm Beach, FL
Dr. Stuart Fox
Hi, I’m Dr. Stuart Fox the owner of River Bridge Animal Hospital and Laser Therapy Center. I feel that I am the luckiest person in the world to do the work I do each day. I knew I wanted to be a veterinarian since I was a small child.
As a child, I was asked: “what do you want to do when you grow up”? My answer was always, to work helping animals. I often say, “there was no plan B”.
I was raised here in Palm Beach County and returned in 1989 after earning my Doctor of Veterinary medicine degree at Ross School of Veterinary Medicine.
I have a special interest in many aspects of the welfare of animals but have a special interest in internal medicine, surgery, and dermatology. I also serve on the board of directors for one of the largest non-profit dog and cat rescues in south Florida, A Second Chance Puppies, and Kittens Rescue. My wife Lugina and I have raised 3 children as well as numerous dogs and cats.
When I am not treating animals, I enjoy my classic cars, my coral reef aquarium and arts and crafts with the help of Pinterest.
As a child, his father introduced him into the tropical fish hobby, and still to this day enjoys the hobby. At home, Dr. Fox maintains a 150 gallon reef aquarium.
Dr. Stacy Oquist
I grew up in Ohio with both horses and dogs. I have always had a great love for animals, but in the beginning, I did not consider veterinary medicine as a career. In fact, I initially went to engineering school! But I quickly learned that was not the right path for me.
After leaving that behind, I was lucky enough to obtain a job as a veterinary assistant. I completely fell in love with veterinary medicine and soon decided that was my calling. I worked as an assistant for over seven years, first full time and then part time, while I obtained my undergraduate degree in biology.
I then continued my studies at Ohio State University, obtaining my DVM in 2006. I moved to Florida right after graduation to be closer to family and I have been at River Bridge since early 2015.
Helping animals and their families is incredibly rewarding, but one of the things I love best about veterinary medicine is the challenge. I often feel like a detective on a case, piecing clues together in order to get a diagnosis. I also love educating clients on pet care. I have an interest in behavior medicine, as well.
I’m married with two children and we currently live with two dogs, Roxy and Pebbles. We also have a bearded dragon named Spino Truck.
Enjoys scuba diving and running.
